Pre-Employment Medicals

If you have an upcoming pre-employment medical assessment, here is some important information to help everything run smoothly.

  • Arrive 15 - 20 minutes prior to your appointment to complete any required forms.
  • We understand that sometimes life gets in the way however, if you are running late for your appointment, we may not be able to complete the full assesment on the day and we may need to reschedule. Please check your arrival time and appointment start time carefully.
  • A copy of current photographic ID (i.e. drivers license or passport). Please note, if you do not bring valid identification, we will not be able to proceed with your appointment and late cancellation fees will apply.
  • If you are prescribed glasses for near or distance vision, please bring these with you.
  • If you wear hearing aids, please bring a copy of your last audiologist report. You will not be required to wear aids if you are completing a hearing (audiometry) test.
  • Please bring a list of any medication you are prescribed.

Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing and enclosed shoes.

  • The length of time the medical will take depends on the assessments booked however, we do recommend allowing up to 60 minutes for a "simple" medical and 2.5 hours for a "complex" medical.
  • Please note, RediMed is an occupational clinic and we do allow employers to bring in employees who have been injured for urgent assessment and treatment. While we do our best to triage patients and manage all scheduled appointments to minimise the impact on wait times, we do acknowledge there may be instances where wait times are extended due to an unforseeable, urgent case requiring immediate attention from our team of medical practitioners. We appreciate your understanding in these cases.
  • If your medical is booked and funded by your employer, RediMed are unable to change this on their behalf. Please contact your nominated company representative to change your appointment.
  • If you are a private funded worker, or have scheduled your own medical, please contact our Customer Service team to change your appointment.
