Health & Wellness Programs

REDIMED’s Health and Wellness division can specifically design a Corporate Wellness Program tailored to your company’s needs. We offer a range of services to create a healthier, happier and more productive workforce.

Flu Vaccinations

REDIMED can provide your workplace with onsite Flu Vaccinations. Flu Vaccinations are a proactive and effective way to help protect your employees to keep them healthy, productive and well all year round. We offer this service to Perth Metropolitan and Regional WA locations.

Skin Checks

Skin Cancer Checks involve an extensive examination, using a Dermatoscope. A physical examination with a thorough check of skin lesions and moles will be performed on site.  If any suspect mole or skin lesions are identified, this will be discussed with the employee.  Your employees will then be given the option of seeing their GP for follow up or being referred to a specialist for further investigation.

REDIMED’s Skin Cancer Checks are performed by an Occupational Health Registrar, who is certified in Skin Cancer Medicine and Skin Cancer Surgery.

Standard Audio Testing

At REDIMED we offer baseline and periodic standard hearing tests (audiometry). A trained Authorised Audiometer Officer will assess your ear health and perform the test to determine the softest noises you can hear. Each ear is tested independently and recorded on an audiogram (graph of your results) with a clear explanation of your results.

Each test takes 10-15 minutes and is completed in a noise reduction booth. If a hearing loss is detected we can refer you to a specialist or your own General Practitioner.

Ergonomics

REDIMED’s world-class Medical and Allied Health team perform ergonomic assessments of your workplace to help prevent immediate or progressive workplace injury. A detailed report is provided following all Ergonomic assessments.

Our team will assess your employee’s workstations in detail, by analysing the following:

  • Posture
  • Desk and Chair setup
  • Keyboard, computer placement and height
  • Placement of phones and other frequently used items
  • Use of foot rest
  • Environmental factors (lighting, noise etc.)

Our ergonomic reports and recommendations typically include:

  • On-the-spot recommendations and alterations to workstations and equipment
  • Recommendations for workstation setup
  • Recommendations for other useful preventative measures such as stretching

Health Education & Training

REDIMED’s Accredited Exercise Physiologists have developed Health education and training sessions, designed to increase awareness of health issues in the workplace. Our Health and Wellness services aim to identify the risk, and assist in minimising Health and Wellness issues in the workplace, through Prevention, rather than Intervention.

Our Health Education and training sessions involve up to date, evidence-based research regarding the current Health and Wellness issues in the current workforce.

  • Drug Awareness
  • Mental Health
  • Skin Cancer Awareness                                Sessions will run for approximately 30-60 minutes
  • Manual Handling
  • Back Health
  • Diabetes Awareness

Health Checks & Physical Capacity Assessments

REDIMED’s Health Checks and Physical Capacity assessments are designed to screen the leading health issues in our present society. Areas of focus are Obesity, Diabetes, Hypertension and Physical Inactivity.  Our aim is early screening and awareness of potential health concerns, and provide prevention/intervention strategies required to assist our patients in making the first steps to a healthier and happier life.

REDIMED’s 3 tiered approach:

  1. General Health Check (Recommended for Under 30’s)
  2. Comprehensive Health Check (Recommended for 30 – 50’s)
  3. Executive Health Check (Recommended for Over 50’s)

On completion of a Health and Wellness check with REDIMED patients are provided with a health status report, outlining the key areas of concern and required intervention. During these consults, the patient’s health concerns are discussed and addressed using evidence based exercise and lifestyle interventions, nutritional advice, and healthy lifestyle tips.

Health Management Plans

REDIMED’s Health Management Plans involve a 60-90 minute one on one session, with an Allied Health Professional. During these consults, the employee’s health concerns are assessed, discussed and addressed using evidence based exercise and lifestyle interventions, nutrition advice, and healthy lifestyle tips. A combination of theory and practical based learning ensures the best outcomes for your employee.

WorkREDI program

REDIMED’s accredited Exercise Physiologists are highly trained in the delivery of exercise interventions for injury rehabilitation and prevention. REDIMED have developed job specific pre-start protocols designed to get your employees ready for work. Our WorkREDI program is specifically designed to engage employees with pre-start movement patterns that aim to warm up, stretch and strengthen your employees, ensuring they are WorkREDI.

Following this practical demonstration, our Exercise Physiologist can teach a staff member the correct procedures for the WorkREDI program. This will enable the protocol’s to be performed daily, and with good technique.
